DIRECTIONS
TO SCENIC, HISTORIC BETTY'S TWISTED ACRES
FROM POINTS SOUTH |
|
Take
whatever route you prefer to the New
York State Thruway (I-87). Ride
the NYS Thruway North to Exit 21: Catskill, Cairo. Get
off, pay toll Hop onto Route 23 West for 10 miles. Route 23 briefly merges with Route 32 along the way... no big deal. Keep an eye out for Route 145 North, take 23 West onto 145 North. You're
on 145 for about 35 miles. When you enter the Village of Middleburgh (there'll be a sign), start looking for the Middleburgh Diner. Right after the Diner you'll see Huntersland Road. Make a right onto Huntersland Road. Outside the Diner is the last pay phone available to you if you need to call us. Note that your cell phone is probably isn't working at this point. If it is, you're probably Jack Bauer or James Bond or some other government-spy-type with a satellite phone. Travel 3 or 4 miles until you see Brooky Hollow Road. There's a red barn on the left, and then about 100 feet later is Brooky Hollow Road (you'll see the street sign on your left). Make a left onto Brooky Hollow Road. Travel a little less than a mile, and you'll see a pond on the right with a couple of old barns around it. You've arrived! Pull up on the right at the Main Residence (about 100 feet past the pond). Bring tent, camping gear, cooler/ice, what you're drinking, pillows, blankets, bath towels, personal effects, and lawn chairs. Basically, it's just like camping. Phone # at Betty's Twisted Acres: (518) 827-7183. See you there! |
